The Fall...in motion kick off event was a huge success with 21,507 people registering for the GINORMOUS Walk on Friday.  Hundreds of children, workplaces and older adults participated at River Landing for the GINORMOUS Walk.  The weather was beautiful for a walk along the beautiful Meewasin Valley trail led by our Community Leaders.

The town of Wakaw organized the first annual Wakaw Walks! Which is a 3 KM Community Poker fun walk. Over 100 people joined their friends and neighbour’s in the park.

The 2008 National Commuter Challenge Event took place from June 1 - June 7. Canadians met the challenge.

Health Canada released new healthy eating guidelines this year. Because of this the 5 PLUS 5 Challenge was no longer applicable so a new Challenge had to be created. This is the COUNT IT UP Challenge. Use the COUNT IT UP Challenge by yourself, as a family, in your workplace, school, home, or class room.
