Inviting all Families to be in motion on Family Day!
Date: February 15, 2010

Family_Day-_in_motion_poster_-_picture.JPGSaskatoon City Council has once again declared the Family Day holiday on February 15th as Family in motion Day.  This is your chance to celebrate the holiday by being physically active with your family and friends.

The City of Saskatoon will be offering a FREE family skate from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at Clarence Downey Oval (11th St and Ave. R S.)  Even if the weather is a bit chilly, you can still take part - there is a warm-up area inside and a fire pit outside!  You can purchase hot chocolate to keep toasty warm.  Bring your skates for a great afternoon of outdoor fun.

Tennis Saskatchewan and Tennis Canada are hosting a FREE ‘Learn to Tennis’ afternoon at the Saskatoon Field House between 12:00pm – 4:00pm.  Equipment will be provided and instructors will be there to help.  It is a great time to try an exciting, new activity.

For more great ideas and how and where to be active on Family Day and all year round click here.

By celebrating Family in motion Day, you have a chance to win some great prizes, including a family ski adventure at Table Mountain.  Send a short description, photo or drawing of how you stayed “in motion” on Family Day to inmotion@saskatoonhealthregion.ca or fax to 655-0939.
